Guarden is an app concept that helps people connect
with local community projects for cleaning up
the environment. The app aims to encourage
environmental action and promote initiatives like
protecting wildlife, helping underserved communities,
and reducing carbon footprints.
Users are able to set preferences for the kinds of activities they are interested in, find nearby events based on their location, and coordinate projects through an event feed and messaging.

Discovery Phase
Survey Questions
After conducting surveys, I found that young adults are most interested in physically-active environmental projects like planting trees. While I concentrated more of the app on physical activities, I also included filters for less strenuous options like fundraising and workshops for those with varying physical abilities.
Additionally, the survey responses indicate that many people are unsure of how to get involved in environmental action. I discovered that education and resources are two areas of opportunity that the app can focus on.
